The Ducks are at it again this year as signing day approaches. They already have 18 commitments, many of which are blue chip recruits with bright futures in the Pac 10. Rumor has it that the Ducks will receive visits from Terrel Pryor (the #1 QB recruit in the nation) and Darrel Scott (the #1 RB recruit in the nation) during the first weekend in February. Given that singing day is February 6th, this bodes well for the Ducks as they’ll get the last look. Probably a long shot that they’ll land either of these players, but man has recruiting come a long, long way for the Ducks in recent years.
The Ducks are also thought to be leading for blue chip Safety Vaughn Telemaqua from Long Beach Poly in Socal. He’s apparently narrowed his list to Oregon and USC. With the potential departure of Junior All-American Patrick Chung, Telemaque could see the field early at Oregon. This seems to be contributing to his Oregon lean.
There are also several other high-profile recruits that the Ducks are in the mix for. Check back later for more news and rumors as signing day approaches.
