A highly anticipated battle between two well deserving competitors will be taking place this February 3rd. Super Bowl XLII can’t come fast enough. Sorry Patriot fans, but the Giants are going to win this contest. You can’t take anything away from the Pats though. They’ve broken record after record this year. Brady’s performances have been stellar and Moss has been near perfect time and time again. For the seemingly flawless Pats an unblemished 18-0 record is at stake and one more hurdle lies in their way – the New York Giants.
In their last meeting the Giants led the Pats 28-16 early in the third quarter, but the persistent Patriots squeaked by in the final minutes to edge NY by 3 points. Fast forward to the present, the Giants are on a 10-0 record setting road streak and even though the Giants weren’t victorious last time you better believe they’re hungry now. At this time of the year it doesn’t matter if you’re 18-0 or 13-6; if you’re hot you’re hot – and the Giants are hot. The often questionable leader Eli Manning has clearly proven himself over these last few weeks as he’s really stepped up to the challenge. How about Plaxico Burress, can you say stud?? The Green Bay Packers, who supposedly had the most physical defensive backs in the league couldn’t handle him, how do the Patriots expect to handle him? The Pats have to be concerned with the Giants defense as well. You know you better double-team Strahan, but now Umenyiora’s back from his injury. Forget about it, the Patriots will fall and Tommy Coughlin and his underdog Giants will be Super Bowl Champs.
